Frequently Asked Questions
Why have a wedding video?
The simple answer is.... only video will capture the sounds and motion of the most important day of your life. I once heard this scenario and I think it can really put the power of video in perspective. Many of us cherish the photographs we have seen of our parents or grandparents wedding day. However, what if you could also see a complete professional video of their day? You could see the warm smile your grandmother exchanged with her father as he walked her down the aisle, hear the emotion and tears in the vows your parents shared, and get a real feel for what it was like. We are so lucky to live in a time that we can have both. There are a number of professional videographers in our area and I urge you to find the one that best fits your needs. Please don't overlook this important part of your wedding, because it will mean so much to you and your family for years to come!
What type of equipment do you use?
All of our cameras are professional 3CCD cameras. We use three different cameras that enable us to capture and produce high quality video. One of our camera's best feature is excellent zoom that allows us to capture the intimate details of your ceremony (ie. the ring exchange, holding hands, etc). The best feature of another is its ability to capture footage in low light without the use of an on- camera light. Another camera allows us to capture high- definition footage. We also use wireless microphones that capture high quality audio. The audio is recorded directly to a mp3 recorder, so there is NO possibility of interference with any other wireless devices such as the officiants microphone.
What style of wedding video is your specialty?
da-da productions Digital Video strongly believes in capturing your special day in a clean, unobtrusive, documentary like style with enough artistic editing to give your footage a beautiful edge. We want to give you something that shows you everything that happened, because on such an exciting and special day some things are a blur.
How is the audio recorded?
Audio is recored along with the video on the mini-DV tape of the digital video camera. Additionally, at the ceremony, wireless lapel microphones are used to ensure hiqh quality capture of your vows.
Do you use any type of lights?
We do use a light in dark receptions. It is a small light with a diffuser on ONE of our cameras. We use this light to ensure the best quality video while allowing you to maintain a "romantic ambience" with low overhead lights during your reception.
What do you wear?
All videographers dress to the occasion and will wear a suit for weddings.
How long after the wedding will we receive our video?
You will receive your edited video on a professionally authored DVD(s) within 6 months of the wedding.
